Plastic Embroidery Hoop 18cm / 7″ is a very useful size hoop to use when doing blackwork or cross stitch embroidery.

Sometimes these embroidery hoops are called Machine Embroidery Hoops.

This is the same size and type of hoop I have used for over 25 years.  I find it holds the fabric tight without causing any damage and is very easy to move around the embroidery piece.

Just remember when using a hoop to remove it when you have finished stitching for the day.
